Wildlife enthusiasts, this circuit was customized for you. Anjozorobe is home to the largest remnant of the Highlands old primary forest. Biodiversity is quite rich and endemism particularly high.
Morning departure for Anjozorobe. This village is home to the nearest and most accessible protected area from the capital. The forest is home to a vast biodiversity: 11 lemurs species (indri, Propithecus Diadema, Microcebus …), several birds and plants endemic species. Along the way, it is also good to visit the queen’s summer palace in Ambohimanga. Listed as UNESCO World Heritage, the hill ‘blue’ is the cradle of the Merina monarchy.
